Evening all, I am new to Searchfunder so its a pleasure to meet you all, albeit virtually.

I am currently on the MBA programme at the University of Oxford and first came across the Search Fund model about 18 months ago.  This has now developed into a genuine interest to pursue some form of Search Fund after my MBA.

As I am writing a paper on the topic right now (essentially a Business Plan, but one to pass a class rather than for a real launch), I was wondering if I could ask for any insights or template Search Fund Proposals / Business Plans from the community.

Unfortunately, there is not a great deal of information on Search Funds available at the Business School in Oxford.  Hopefully that will change soon enough...

Many thanks!

Alex

Welcome to Searchfunder, Alex! On the left side of your Timeline page, you'll see helpful links. Under tasks, you'll see "Getting Started," which provides a list of what we've been told is "required reading" for those starting out. If anyone has suggestions for required reading, especially for markets outside of the USA, please share it.

Welcome to the search fund world! Take a look at examples of Private Placement Memorandums (PPMs), which I like to compare to a Business Plan + Resume + Investment Thesis, popular in the search fund world. Stanford has a good example if you're interested in taking a look
