Search Fund Interning

How technical can interning for a search fund be? Had some experience in a fund last year but might be interested in coming back for another firm. I'm interested in the technical aspect as I had previously done more qualitative work (research, outreach etc).

If by "technical" you mean modelling, then you probably wont get to do it as an intern. Underwriting a deal is just too important to outsource. What you can do is rebuild the model. Or better yet, build your own model (your own revenue build, expense assumptions etc.) with information from the data room. This wont be "the model", but the experience is the same.
