Munger Longview Partners is a private investment firm backed by a committed group of experienced private investors and operators. We acquire and operate established UK businesses with £1 to £10 million EBITDA for the long term. We're growing our deal sourcing pipeline and looking for a student who wants real, hands-on exposure to how a search fund actually finds and evaluates targets. Responsibilities ● Research and source target companies against our acquisition criteria ● Build and maintain spreadsheets covering target lists, ownership structures and key financials ● Pull and review public filings (Companies House, industry regulators) to screen targets ● Support light financial statement analysis and flag red flags or deal-breakers early ● Summarise findings into short, decision-ready notes for the investment team Who we're looking for ● Some practical familiarity with financial statements and accounting principles ● Comfortable in Excel or Google Sheets; basic financial modelling is a plus ● Self-directed and able to manage your own workload with light supervision ● Genuinely interested in entrepreneurship through acquisition, search funds or private equity ● Eager to learn and put in real effort; no prior deal experience required What you get We run weekly training sessions in business and financial analysis, covering how to read a set of accounts, build a simple operating model, and assess a business the way a buyer does. The aim is to leave you better prepared for a career in investing or operating than when you started. We pay a £10,000 bonus if you source a company we go on to acquire. To qualify, you need to be the first to identify the target, it must not already be in our pipeline, and the bonus is paid on completion of the acquisition.
