To be painfully clear; we are not interested in undergraduates. This is not an internship for undergraduates. Any undergraduates who have applied should probably remove your application because it makes you look like you have poor attention to detail as the very first words of the original post are:
We are only seeking exceptional 2nd year MBA candidates who demonstrate a very high potential for future leadership at our company based on military leadership experience or significant civilian PnL leadership with multiple direct reports.
Please do not apply unless you are a close match for most or all of the requirements listed in the Qualifications section.
Galaxy Mountain is a family-run investment fund located in Colorado Springs that operates enduringly profitable small businesses.
We currently operate two platform companies; a luxury residential gardening and landscaping company with locations in Colorado Springs (Stone and Flower) and Castle Rock (Rampart Landscape and Arbor Service) as well as a residential rooftop solar company (Solarise Solar). Having started as a self-funded search in 2020, we have made seven total acquisitions since 2021 and are looking to increase our holdings in a responsible manner.
Our search fund is dedicated to identifying and acquiring high-potential small businesses for long-term growth and value creation. We foster an entrepreneurial culture, encourage learning by doing, and support personal and professional development for all team members. Our intention is to create an operate-to-buy entrepreneurship through acquisition model whereby an associate can take over an operating company and, at their request—with financial support—purchase from the holding company the small business that they are operating. A successful intern will be offered a full-time position and then have opportunities to either purchase and operate one or more businesses with us or help us create this novel ETA model from scratch.
