Hi guys- I'm sure this has been asked on here at some point, but haven't come across any relating posts. What are some of search fund conferences held by organizations and/or business schools? Any large, noteworthy events that have become well known/well attended?

As a follow up to anyone who has attended one or a few of these, what was the biggest benefit of attending? What is most useful for fundraising, networking with aspiring search funders or existing search funders, hearing success stories, etc.? Or perhaps all of the above?

Thank you,
Dylan

In addition to the schools mentioned already - GSB, Harvard, IESE, Booth/Kellogg, and MIT - there will be a Southeastern ETA conference hosted by Duke, UNC, and UVA at Duke from October 28 - October 30. The SE ETA conference was held virtually last year and was held in-person at Duke in 2019.

There is also another in-person conference being planned by the Wharton ETA Community.

The HBS one is a good mix between traditional (ie. GSB’s, which is invite only anyway) and self-funded as well as other kinds of ETA. It’s worth going in person for the networking. You’ll get the chance to meet other searchers, investors, and bankers which makes the whole process easier.
