For me, business success is a function of the 3 P's... Product, People and Process. I take it further###-###-#### % Product + 30% People + 20%Process) / Leadership. People isn't the actual people but the culture or the wholistic environment of how you treat people, how they feel about the organization and your ability to maximize the potential of the individual and the team as a whole.

The product (or what you do) is the first and should be the most important step, but you have already chosen that by making your acquisition.

Thus, you must maximize the people (the culture) and then build the process to reflect / support the culture and achieve the best possible results... Results are a function of the process... you choose the the results that fits your plan and you build the process to achieve that.

So, focus on the people first to build the culture that maximizes their potential and performance. Learn the process and improve/develop that over time.

But, integration / transition should start by learning and laying the foundation for your vision and culture. Do no harm. Stay humble. Check your ego at the door and learn from the experts in the business... the team you have. do all you can to engage, empower and make the employees feel valued. your employees when operating in the environment/culture can be unleashed to achieve greatness... the bottleneck isn't them... it's leadership.

I really liked this thread from ^redacted‌ about post-merger integrations https://twitter.com/steveressler/status/1558931363541164033 and this post by ^redacted‌ on what he did to transition the company https://jordannovgrod.substack.com/p/the-first-day
