SE Asia Search Fund - Calling Individual Investors

I’m raising a SE Asia search fund targeting companies that derive part or all of their revenues in Singapore - and am looking for individual investors to broaden the expertise of my investor panel.

I’ve spent almost 20 years working in M&A and private equity (as investor and operator). I’ve worked across APAC since 2012, and led the digital value creation operations for APAC’s largest PE fund (and one of the world’s top 1o outfits) over the past 4 years.

My thesis applies PE large-cap operating techniques to capturing trapped value in SMEs. As there is a lack of SME exit liquidity, my aim is to scale these companies to sell to large PE players, who are cash-rich / deal-poor.

Value creation will be centred on applying data science (I’m a trained data scientist) and digitalisation. The latter based on my experience leading change management across different organisations in APAC.

My search will be thematic around either 1) Offshoring; 2) Companies that provide “Hidden Services”, without which other firms can’t scale; 3) demographic trends. I’ve built an AI-powered database to support this top-down search, which can rank the growth prospects of 125k+ firms.

I’m looking for individual investors, as I want to build-out the functional expertise of my investor panel (e.g. CFOs, CHROs, CMOs, CROs, CTOs, etc). This is not a “dash for cash”, as I’m part funded - I’m seeking more engaged investors open to coaching future management, and sharing best practices. This might be 2-3 paid hours each month.
