Hello,
I am curious if anyone has experience sourcing a board member for a new acquisition that is willing to satisfy the license requirement for an HVAC business. This would be a self funded search deal in Florida. Any commentary on this would be helpful.

Thank you,
Bryan Hanson

Thanks for the tag ^redacted‌ - ^redacted‌ - I've done a number of these deals and have employed a number of creative structures to satisfy different contracting license requirements. Happy to chat - DM me or shoot me an email redacted

Not from florida but why wouldnt a) the seller want to stay on long enough to satisfy b) one of the employees c) a responsible managing employee placement company. I would think a board member would be the absolute last bet. Ultimately you will want to learn a lot of how things within the HVAC space work and the board member isn't going to be that present (normally)
