Safe to provide personal financial info using small broker's web form?

I have encountered several brokers that require personal financial information before sharing first round information (e.g., CIM). I understand that they want to vet potential buyers to make sure they have the financial wherewithal. However, given I am working with small brokers, my concern is the security of their website's forms / submission portals. Would appreciate any thoughts on this subject.

Thanks!

The other option you have is to get a pre-approval letter and see if they will accept that instead. We do provide this service if you would like to discuss it. I can be reached here or directly at redacted Thank you.
