SaaS Private Equity Intern

SaaS Private Equity intern We are a private equity group that recently acquired an HR SaaS platform. We are looking for a highly motivated intern to work directly with the CEO of the company to analyze cost structures, and develop strategies. You will experience what it’s like first hand to be a part of a private equity acquisition and transition team. The new company is a 15 person team, mostly focused on software development. You will be the first finance hire in the company. The position is remote with US or Europe time zone preference. Essential Functions/duties • Assist Finance team with monthly and quarterly forecasting, reporting, and analysis. • Granular cost analysis of current customer base. • Analysis of customer onboarding process. • Cost benefit analysis for largest customers. • Cost analysis of current providers. • Assist with developing metrics and KPI dashboards. • Evaluate system processes to identify areas for improvement. • Support all efforts to automate and optimize routine work. • Participate in the preparation of new financial system for the company. Minimum Qualifications • Currently pursuing a master in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or another closely related field. • Strong writing and editing skills. • Advanced excel modeling skills. • Experience with Zoho Books, or Quickbooks a plus • The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, self-starter equipped with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. • Must have the ability to meet deadlines. • Experience in software or startups a plus • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong interpersonal skills and judgment. • Enthusiastic and self-motivated with a good sense of urgency. • Interest in private equity and M&A • Interest in SaaS PERKS • Paid internship based on experience • Flexibility to work remotely • Free course on SaaS finance provided at onboarding • Work directly with CEO • Possibility for long term contract after internship • Experience Private Equity M&A first hand
