I have an opportunity to acquire a residential painting business and wanted to see if anyone had experience here. It seems pretty straight forward, though I do have concerns about low barriers to entry.

Thanks,

Dan

Don't have experience there but spend plenty of time on due diligence. Many of these smaller companies have books that are a mess. Low barriers to entry are not always an issue, the smaller companies tend to be unorganized which leads to a lack of professionalism and a short business life. Stand out from the competition by doing the exact opposite and branding the company very well. Ideally the acquisition target should have a substantial brand behind them
