Wondered if a relatively recent technology based method, "Organisational Network Analysis - ONA" is known or was used by any successful searcher who acquired larg companies with teams over a few hundred employees and multiple locations.

ONA helps newly appointed leaders after a M&A or takeover to analyse the existing real communication networks of employees. This is often very far from the official org map, so the learning are invaluable. The results of such an analysis can help to pinpoint the best communicators and the most isolated employees in any team. It also helps to visualise the actual communication and cooperation flows across departments and can highly increase the success of any major transition. By reaching the key influencers in an organisation a leader can put his message across much easier!

While my search efforts are targeted at smaller organisations I would love to hear from other searchers, working with large organisations if this novel approach is know or not. Through my professional network I would also be happy to assist anyone interested in adding this technique to reduce risk and improve efficience post-acquisition! Connect for more info.
