A small company that we are in the process to acquire uses one of the current executives name/account for company credit cards. A number of key managers have a card to pay for certain day-to-day operating expenses. We will be switching to a new credit card company for multiple reasons including the current exec is retiring and the account should be in the company's name.

Any recommendations for vendors that are great to work with for SMB? Low fees, multiple users, fraud prevention/ support, and attractive cash-back rewards or other points that are of high value.

For petty cash items, or sometimes equipment or fuel are there any other good purchasing solutions that are flexible and secure besides credit cards?

Thanks in advance for your consideration.

Hi Ben, I did a bunch of research before selecting our business credit card. I ended up selecting the CapitolOne "Spark Cash Plus" card. I chose it because it provides 2% cash back on all purchases (couldn't find any cards that had higher) and it consistently had high reviews on the comparison sites. We were approved upon filling out the online application. Bonus that it's a Chase card, which has a nice UI. I considered going with an airline card, but the cash back ended up being a higher reward based on my math.

If you end up going with CapitolOne, here is a referral link. They give both businesses $1k if it's used: https://i.capitalone.com/GuGY0Q3Lu

Hi Ben! Great to see you here...

We encourage all of our clients to use Ramp. Ramp is a standout for a few reasons:

1. It's free! 99% of SMBs don't need their paid features. (solutions like Bill dot com cost $80/user/month)
2.The expense program functionality is amazing. Can create and issue P and V cards in seconds. Can use the vendor codes to limit transactions (ie. can make a gas card so they can only buy gas at a gas station and prevent crews from buy cigarettes or beer). Can issue a card that can only be used to cover gym memberships. Lots of cool stuff like that.
3. Automatic receipt chasing... when someone spends they immediately get a text asking them what the purchase was for and to snap a photo of the receipt.
4. AP automation features are solid.
5. Solid 1.5% cash back offer
6. Ramp Flex - micro credit solution allows you to change net terms on your payments. So if a bill is Net30 and you need 60 or 90 days you can flex the payment out to create some float while you wait for AR to catch up.

Happy to demo it for you if you'd like.

The only time I'd say get a points card is if you're doing lots of Ads. The AMEX Biz Gold does 4x points on marketing spend which is pretty killer.
