Most M&A internships leave you stuck building theoretical models for deals that will never close. We buy off-market real estate assets in the lower-middle market, and we put interns directly on the deal team. As a Buyside M&A Intern, you will learn the actual mechanics of dealmaking; from cold origination and evaluating seller motivation to building investment memos and underwriting property financials. If you are targeting investment banking, private equity, search funds, or real estate development, this gives you real transaction reps to talk about in interviews. What You’ll Do: - Lead direct outreach (phone, email, and mailers) to commercial property and multi-family owners. - Screen target properties against our criteria using rent rolls, T12 financial statements, NOI, cap rates, and cash-on-cash returns. - Speak with property owners to understand their timeline, pricing expectations, and selling motivation. - Help assemble Investment Memos and diligence packages for high-conviction deals. - Map focus markets and build relationships with local commercial real estate brokers. What We’re Looking For - Enrolled student or recent graduate in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or Business. - Grit and clear communication. You will be calling business and property owners directly, which means navigating gatekeepers and brushing off rejection. - Comfort with numbers, basic financial modeling, and Excel. - Reliable workstation (quiet space, good internet, laptop) and availability for 10–15 hours/week during standard business hours.
