Raising search capital for a non-relocation search

Has anyone raised search capital search where it was understood you would be remote or you would commute in person a few days a week.

Understand all the reasons why one should move, but curious if it has ever been done?

Haven't seen it that way, but I've seen several searchers who end up non-relocating given they buy remote-managed businesses. Not sure how that value-prop would resonate to investors, but if you live in a large metropolitan area, I could be ok.
