Prospecting using business data.

When prospecting, relying solely on business data for accuracy can be risky.

Data is often outdated, incomplete, or inaccurate, leading to missed opportunities. I’ve used data saying it’s a $1 million company and then after meeting with the sellers finding out it’s a $8 million company.
This has happened multiple times using “quality” data.

Not an uncommon experience. Revenue volume, contact information etc will never be perfect. It sounds like this data got you in the door which is a net positive and it was an opportunity 8x bigger than you thought.

Yes I found that it is usually a net positive as long as the employee count is 5 to 9 or more and not 1 to 4.
