Looking to start a private, no fee mastermind group (max 8 people) for searchers actively engaged in proprietary search. I’ve been part of and have run mastermind groups across a range of entrepreneurial and technical fields. My experience has been that the mastermind itself, the peer accountability, pattern recognition, and candid feedback, is what consistently accelerates progress. That benefit exists regardless of whether participants are also involved in paid programs, accelerators, or courses. I’m beginning my own search in a geographically constrained market and would love to build a small group of fellow searchers to support each other with accountability, motivation, and practical sanity checks along the way. Thanks for the Tag Luke. I have been part of a few good MM groups and would be interested in helping to support others. I closed on a deal a year ago and am at a crossroads now re another deal etc. I will reach out directly.

Here is the description and application: # ETA Proprietary Search Mastermind --- This is a small, peer-led mastermind for entrepreneurs actively pursuing **proprietary ETA search**, not broker-led deal flow. The purpose of the group is simple: consistent progress, clear thinking, and accountability during what is otherwise a long and isolating process. ### **Member Qualifications** This group is intentionally narrow. Members must meet **all** of the following criteria: - Actively engaged in a proprietary search for a single acquisition - Personally leading outreach, sourcing, and early diligence - Geographic or industry constraints clearly defined - Not currently under LOI (this is a search-stage group) - Willing to share numbers, assumptions, and real challenges - Committed to preparation, follow-through, and respectful candor This is not a coaching group, investor pitch forum, or passive learning circle. Everyone is here to do the work. ## **Who This Is Not For** This mastermind is **not** a fit for everyone pursuing ETA. Please do not apply if any of the following apply to you: - You are primarily sourcing deals through brokers or online listings rather than proprietary outreach - You are exploring ETA conceptually but have not begun consistent, active outreach - You are looking for coaching, mentorship, or expert instruction rather than peer accountability - You prefer open-ended discussion without structured goals or consequences - You are uncomfortable sharing real numbers, real setbacks, or unfinished thinking - You have limited capacity to prepare, attend consistently, or follow through on commitments This group is designed for searchers who value **momentum over theory** and **accountability over comfort**. ### **Group Structure** - Group size capped to ensure meaningful time per member - Meetings held every two weeks - Maximum meeting length of 1.5 hours - Structured time allocation: - 12 minutes per member - 3 minutes maximum overrun if needed - Time is enforced to respect the group and maintain focus Each member uses their time to: - Briefly report progress since last session - Identify blockers or decisions needing perspective - Receive targeted feedback from peers - Set achievable goals to be completed by next meeting ### **Goal Setting and Accountability** At the end of each member’s time, every member sets **specific, achievable goals** for the next two-week period. Examples might include: - Number of owner outreach attempts completed - Conversations booked or completed - Follow-ups sent - Advisors engaged - Diligence steps completed on a live opportunity Goals should be realistic and executable. This is about forward motion, not optimism. Accountability is strict by design: - Missing stated goals for **three consecutive sessions** will result in being asked to leave the group - Can’t make a meeting?
