I'm an independent sponsor evaluating a few contractor businesses in the production painting category (large-scale, high-volume projects across single-family home developments, multi-family residential projects, HOA communities, hospitality projects) and am looking for investor and/or operator perspectives on the industry. Platforms I am looking at are local/regional leaders ($2-5m EBITDA) with strong repeat builder/developer relationships, some with more ancillary services than others outside of new unit painting (e.g. repaints, surface restoration, waterproofing).
