I know many people have aspirations of starting a PE fund. I saw this course and was thinking how one can understand how PE firm works from the inside without working in the industry.

I have experience in operations and technology. I understand that acquiring and operating is how many people start. I don't have the bandwidth to be an operator.

I was thinking how one can skip the owner / operator stage and acquire a business as an investor then hire a GM. I would implement technology to monitor the operations remotely and know the financials 24 x 7.
