Pre-deal Search journey process tip crowdsourcing

Hi all,
The search journey is punctuated by several little (and large) actions to be taken on a daily, weekly, quarterly and annual basis. I'm looking to crowdsource from the community some of the regular actions you take to increase the likelihood of an efficient search process (pre-deal of course: once a deal is live, all normalcy is put on pause). A couple of mine are below:
One-time (upfront actions)
a) Design your CRM: I use Hubspot to manage my funnel of deals (highlighting the channel - i.e., proprietary, broker and deal dynamics)
b) Develop your investment theses in interesting areas (a short-form - elevator pitch) and long-form version (for sharing with investors)
Quarterly
a) Outreach to brokers providing feedback on deals received to date (positive and negative)
b) Investor Updates
Monthly
a) Identify one industry conference/webinar to attend
Weekly
a) Review all channels for new deals including those of interest in the CRM
b) Interview industry participants to get smart on an industry/sub-industry (there is always someone who knows more than me about something - I just need to find them)
What do you all think/what do you all do differently?
