Post-Merger Integration
What are your key considerations and best practices for ensuring successful post-merger integration, particularly in terms of aligning organizational cultures, systems, and processes?

Post-merger integration works best when planning starts early and focuses on what truly drives value (people and operations). I’ve seen deals succeed when buyers map out leadership roles, align core systems like finance and CRM before day one, and communicate openly with key customers and suppliers to prevent disruption. Culture is the glue that holds it all together and once teams feel connected and trust the process, everything from systems to strategy falls into place naturally.

Echoing the comments above, post-merger integration starts a long time pre-merger.
First, make sure the company is a good fit to start with. Culture won't be the same, but should be close enough to make sense. There is no winning if you can't align culture.
Then it's like Asadullah and Emmanuel have said, focus on people and operations - specifically areas of value creation, and work back into finance and core operational systems. Communicate, communicate, communicate.
