I tend to use Doggie Daycare as my standard demo report because the Pet Space is a good fit for my particular type of market research. The public datasets for pet spending are usually not helpful because it's easy for new entrants to come into the market distorting the results. But when you actually look at business level revenue and revenue trends, you can figure out what is actually going in the relevant industries. Combine that with a view of the various sub-industries in the pet space it makes for a very straightforward and data driven view of which markets are thriving and which are over-saturated.
