Does anybody have experience owning, doing diligence on, or working for a business in the pet boarding / resort space? Especially curious to get perspectives on the following: 1) Recession resilience / cyclicality / seasonality 2) Unit economics. How much does it cost to build one of these facilities? How long does it take to build one? Specifically focused on the bigger pet resorts, but would be curious to hear about the smaller ones too. 3) What KPIs / metrics should I be laser focused on? Occupancy, employee turnover, revenue per square foot -- anything else? 4) Which areas within the space are considered most attractive to investors? Would suspect that the bigger resorts doing $2mm+ in revenue would be most attractive, but interested in hearing thoughts.
