Partnered self-funded search roadmap / playbook

I'm kicking off a self-funded, partnered search and we're looking for some resources to help get organized. Does anyone have any good resources (e.g. a tactical playbook or process roadmap) that outlines key steps, to-do's, etc. that they found helpful in getting organized for conducting a successful self-funded search?
