Partnered Search for $5M SBA Limit per person

I was wondering if anyone has done a partnered search (each partner takes up to the $5M SBA maximum), while keeping it a partnership (sharing in wins / losses). I know that the 2 individuals cannot be 50/50 on the SBA loan without each taking a personal guarantee, but I was wondering if there was a way to merge the companies at a later date or other structure.
