Partner with PE firm for deal flow

Has anyone explored or attempted to partner with a PE shop to get deal flow from deals too small for their firm or that may not align with the firms investment criteria? I'm just getting started with search and have been exploring various ways to source good deals out side of brokers and traditional listings.
