Part-Time Acquisition Integration Lead (Paid) - Local/Remote
Rewind Restoration
·
Austin, TX, USA
I began my own ETA journey as a searcher. I had the opportunity to acquire and lead a business, grow it, and ultimately sell it. Today, I work in private equity, leading acquisitions and portfolio operations. I’m now looking for someone from the SearchFunder community who may be interested in a paid, part-time opportunity to help us integrate several newly acquired businesses. Rewind Restoration is a private-equity-backed platform acquiring founder-led restoration businesses. We have completed three acquisitions and expect to complete four more. As that pace increases, we need a structured, high-ownership operator to quarterback the early integration of each business. This is not a sourcing, diligence, or traditional search-fund internship. It is hands-on operating work following the close. ## The Role You will serve as the integration lead for newly acquired businesses. Your job will not be to personally execute every integration task. You will establish the plan, assign ownership, follow up with the responsible parties, surface issues, and ensure commitments continue moving. For each business, you will: - Own and maintain the post-close integration plan in ClickUp. - Coordinate work across finance, HR, legal, IT, operations, and outside partners. - Prepare for and facilitate a weekly operating meeting with the founder or brand leader and leadership team. - Establish an EOS-style cadence for reviewing priorities, Rocks, action items, issues, and accountability. - Document decisions, establish owners and deadlines, and follow up between meetings. - Surface stalled items, cross-functional dependencies, and matters requiring escalation. - Support an initial vision and planning session and translate the resulting priorities into an executable plan. - Help identify process gaps, accountability-chart needs, and operating opportunities. - Quarterback selected initiatives such as hiring a general manager, evaluating a new market, or coordinating a system implementation. - Provide concise progress reporting to platform leadership. Integration items may include bank-account transitions, vehicles and licenses, I-9 verification, insurance, payroll, vendor documentation, financial reporting, IT access, system implementations, and other post-close priorities. ## Who Could Be a Strong Fit This could be a good fit for a current or former searcher, operator, consultant, chief of staff, or project leader who: - Has meaningful project-management or operating experience. - Is highly structured and comfortable driving accountability across multiple stakeholders. - Can work effectively with founders, general managers, and functional leaders without having direct authority over them. - Understands that successful integration requires both relationship judgment and disciplined follow-through. - Is comfortable operating at both the strategic and highly tactical levels. - Is available during normal U.S. business hours. Direct experience in restoration, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, or another home-services or field-services business would be a significant advantage. However, it is not required if you have strong operating or project-leadership experience in another founder-led, multi-location, or operationally intensive business. Experience with post-acquisition integration, EOS, private-equity-backed companies, ClickUp, process mapping, or organizational design would also be helpful. This is probably not the right assignment for someone whose experience is limited to financial analysis, deal sourcing, or diligence and who has not demonstrated the ability to drive cross-functional execution. ## Timing and Commitment - Paid, part-time engagement. - Expected duration of approximately three to six months. - Anticipated start in the third week of October 2026. - Approximately five hours per business per week, generally within a range of four to six hours. - Integrations will begin on a staggered schedule, so the workload will increase as additional acquisitions close. - Occasional domestic travel for onsite vision and planning sessions may be requested and will be coordinated in advance. For someone considering acquiring and operating a business, this is also an opportunity to see what happens after the deal closes: transitioning a founder-led company, establishing an operating cadence, managing competing priorities, and turning an investment thesis into practical execution. That exposure is additive to—and not a substitute for—paid compensation. If you are interested, please send me a direct message with: 1. Your résumé and LinkedIn profile to mariya at rewindrestoration.com with title "Acquisition Integration Lead". 2. A short description of your current role or search status. 3. An example of a cross-functional project you personally led. 4. Any relevant home-services, field-services, EOS, or integration experience. 5. Your approximate weekly availability and willingness to travel occasionally.
