PAID Analyst Internship for MBA or Undergraduate students located in the United States. Analyst Interns will report directly to Managing Partner Josh Seegopaul (20+ years of Deal experience in PE and Operating roles). Note this role is 85% Private Markets research and sourcing and 15% investment analysis including Memo and Model. Please do not apply if looking for only LBO Model experience. This position is unique as our Fund has both experienced leadership (former Managing Director and Investment Committee member at $8B distressed PE fund) and strong backing from a global family office. We therefore project a high likelihood of meaningful engagements with Sellers which leads to outlier learnings in a short amount of time. This position is also PAID regardless of whether a transaction occurs during your time with CD, with significant upside via Finders Fees on deals you source. The most important attributes for any successful candidate in this role will be (in order): 1) Prior thematic idea generation or deal sourcing experience in an institutional investment environment 2) Ability to commit focused time towards producing high-quality well-researched Investment deliverables 3) Passion-driven resourcefulness around mining for industry trends/themes or individual company data as needed 4) Ability to move quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced M&A environment 5) Professional-level written communication skills 6) Current University (In other words, we don't care what school you go to -- only that you are extremely rigorous and deeply excited about the deliverables described in the listing). Hiring Process will be as follows: 1) 15-minute Zoom meeting to determine alignment and fit 2) Brief Case Study (Candidate can choose from two different exercises) 3) Final presentation and Interview 4) Background check 5) Offer Orientation will commence during the week of 1/27 with the position starting 2/3. We look forward to meeting you soon!
