What are people seeing as the temperature of the m&a market? How is deal flow?

I’ve had several brokered deals recently where the seller didn’t transact at with any bidder citing too low of a price. Is this happening to other searchers?

I too think summer has been somewhat slow, but not significantly so. In some cases, in more niche fields particularly, it seems to be taking a bit longer to find a good buyer at the right valuation/structure, but I don't think I'm noticing an uptick in failed deals necessarily. It's hard to know for sure if it's the normal ebb and flow or something more pronounced; I think by the end of the year we'd have a better idea on that.

I thought summer was a bit slow, but seems to be picking up again. I'm guessing those failed deals were company specific, but would love to hear if others are seeing the market differently.
