I am under LOI on a pool construction company on the west coast and would be interested in speaking wtih anyone with experience in the space.

I looked at a pool deal in Northern CA that was 50% pool route, 50% new construction. I had a hard time w/ financing, none of the SBA brokers I spoke to were willing to lend on the new construction portion of the business.

And in CA, you have to deal with licensing so even if a lender could theoretically loan you the money, I think they would want to see that you have relevant experience.

Specifically wrt pool construction, one area I'd look into is what part they are actually doing vs. outsourcing. For example, do they do the concrete, tiles, and plaster or do they sub it out?
