Hi everyone, looking for perspective and potentially a partner. I own a small commercial print shop with professional equipment already in place (press, die cutter, plotter cutter) and I'm exploring a partner-operator model. The last couple years it did ~$175K-250K in revenue with strong margins (limited overhead) and not anywhere close to capacity. I started from scratch 5 years ago and am realizing that I am best in a support role not running the whole thing. The idea would be to bring in an entrepreneurial operator who wants to build toward ownership, not just earn a salary. I'm confident with two people running this we can more than double it in a short time frame. At a high level, the opportunity looks like this: Existing operating business with mostly paid-for equipment (60K left on one machine) Proven demand (especially B2B sticker/label fulfillment) Low capital required for the incoming partner Equity earned over time based on performance Clear path to running day-to-day operations, and potentially majority ownership long-term I have personal ability to fund additonal growth (machines...) but I kind of want to wait to see path direction until I find the right partner. What I’m not looking for: A passive investor A “flip it fast” mindset What I am looking for: Someone who wants to own a real business Must be local and willing to help operate machinery / business Comfortable with business development and learning operations Long-term, builder mentality Open to earning equity through milestones over 2–3 years I’m posting this partly to sanity-check the structure with this community, and partly because I know Searchfunder attracts people who are explicitly looking for hands-on ownership paths like this. If you’ve: Structured something similar Seen this work (or fail) Or might personally be interested …I’d appreciate comments or DMs. Happy to share more detail offline.

Because you asked for a sanity check.. If I saw this for sale my knee-jerk reaction would be: this isn't buying a company; this is buying a job. Mathematically, there doesn't seem to be enough there to make it worth a strong operator's time. A strategic buyer might be a better fit. I have one in mind and could check if they would be interested if you like.
