Position Summary: The Operating Partner will oversee day-to-day operations, drive business growth, and maintain exceptional service standards. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with strong operational expertise, particularly in managing high-volume laundry or similar industrial operations. A background in mechanical or electrical engineering is highly preferred, as it will enable the candidate to effectively manage and optimize equipment, maintenance schedules, and process improvements.

The ideal candidate will initially purchase a minority interest in EcoDirect Laundry & Cleaners, with structured incentives to acquire additional equity and/or buyout over time based on performance and contribution to business growth. This position is ideal for an entrepreneurial leader looking to invest in and actively grow a business.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

Oversee daily operations, ensuring all processes meet high-quality and efficiency standards. Manage the maintenance, repair, and optimization of industrial laundry equipment and machinery to minimize downtime and improve efficiency. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance productivity and service quality. Conduct regular audits of equipment performance and operational workflows, identifying and implementing process improvements. Technical Expertise:

Apply mechanical or electrical engineering knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues quickly and effectively. Collaborate with vendors and service providers for equipment upgrades, repairs, and preventive maintenance. Lead initiatives to incorporate new technologies and innovations in laundry processes to increase operational efficiency and sustainability. Business Development:

Build and maintain strong relationships with hotel clients, ensuring their laundry needs are met efficiently and effectively. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding EcoDirect's presence in the Chicagoland area. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote services and attract new clients. Team Leadership:

Lead, motivate, and manage a team of operational and technical staff, ensuring a high level of performance and morale. Conduct regular training and development sessions to enhance team skills, particularly in equipment handling and maintenance. Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, promoting collaboration and accountability. Financial Management:

Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation. Monitor financial performance, identifying areas for cost reduction and revenue enhancement. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate billing, payroll, and financial reporting. Sustainability Initiatives:

Drive sustainability initiatives in line with EcoDirect’s commitment to environmental responsibility. Implement energy-efficient practices and technologies in laundry operations. Advocate for and lead eco-friendly initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of laundry processes. Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the laundry, hospitality, or industrial service industry. Strong technical background in mechanical or electrical engineering with proven experience in building and managing teams to maintain and repair industrial equipment. Proven track record of successful business development and client relationship management. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Experience with financial management, budgeting, and cost control. Commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. Willingness and financial capability to make an initial minority investment in the company. Compensation and Benefits:
