Wanted share this pertinent Op-Ed by my Gold Leaf Capital Partners colleague and business partner Jeff Wright. We’ve seen too many good deals slip through the fingers of talented minority entrepreneurs because they didn’t have wealthy friends and family to close a funding gap. I've found debt for many deals that never closed because the sponsor couldn't attain the equity raise. This op-ed in Crain’s explains the need to invest in minority-owned private equity firms and sponsors to help them overcome that barrier.
