Last October, I was laid-off. In the aftermath, the idea of trying to find another soul-sucking corporate gig was dreadful. Pretty quickly, I stumbled upon the HBR Guide & Deibel's book, where the concept of ETA really called to me. It took me a few months of careful consideration, discussions with my wife, connecting with others, poking around on Searchfunder, and consuming a TON of content to land that buying a business was the right move for me and my family's future.
I also used this time to take a break after 14 years in the corporate world. I got an Ikon Pass and spent the last month skiing, reconnected with friends & family, and freely reflected & imagined what I want the rest of my life to resemble. As I begin to look for a business, I know it's going to be a lot of work, so I'm feeling grateful for the time I've taken to recharge. I'm now fully ready and energized to dive in.
Given my background leading teams in operations and finance, I'll be looking for opportunities in distribution, logistics, and commercial service in the broader Puget Sound region. I'm also very open to the right franchise resale opportunities.
I love connecting and learning with others, so if anyone else in the region is interested in connecting or has insight into the opportunities I've listed above, please reach out!
