I cannot answer specifically on market multiples in that sector, but I can answer your question about SBA financing. Although the SBA and SBA lenders always prefer that buyers have direct industry experience for a business they are buying, it is not a requirement. In fact, we rarely find it to be the case where our buyers have direct industry experience. When you do not have direct industry experience the key is proving you have related industry experience or your past industry experience will transfer will to the new business. Also having a plan for handling any licensing requirements and the transfer of the business is key. But again, the majority of the deals we finance our buyers do not have direct industry experience, just relatable experience.
