Non-traditional Searcher - Traditional Search Fund

I've just launched a traditional search fund, its very exciting I've just begun the fundraising process!

Although I'm running a traditional search fund I'm a non-traditional searcher, in that my MBA is not from Stanford or Harvard, I am not a recent graduate and I'm not from the private equity world. I'm actually a former business owner myself, an Air Force Veteran, congressional candidate, and recent DBA graduate.

I'm finding that some search fund investors have a strong bias towards searchers that fit a traditional mold. Any recommendations on who to connect with or how to break through?

Nathan, start by raising capital from people in your personal and professional network and with traction, others often follow.
