No Linkedin Profile?

I’m new to Searchfunder and don’t have a Linkedin profile due to several reasons: (a) I didn’t think I needed one as I always saw it as a tool to promote myself for a better job (which is not needed as I’m self-employed) (b) a Linkedin profile could be counterproductive in my self-employed role as potential clients could find their solution by looking at my Linkedin contacts (c) I’m generally suspicious of sharing too much on social media and value my privacy
Anyway – I see that most searchers do have a profile. Would you think it’s really necessary and if so, would it be too late to get started (ie what’s the point of a profile with only a handful (or so) initial contacts)?

(b) No one really goes in depth about finding solutions into LinkedIn contacts, if they had to, they probably would have done it already, and even if they did, your contacts might not deliver the exact same thing. Also there are likely chances that your contacts aren't leveraging LinkedIn as well to generate that authenticity.
(c) It is always in your hand on what to share and what not to. You can choose not to share anything personal, but you can always share your opinions on something trending, your knowledge, or something that you have learnt recently and so on.
Having a LinkedIn profile is highly recommended, as it won't really cost you any money to have one and you can always work on your profile, and slowly and steadily the numbers would build up.
With that being said, I am happy to jump on a call to share some more insights on how to use LinkedIn effectively, as I have extensive knowledge of the platform and manage accounts of various founders and CXOs.
I can be found at redacted if you would like to understand how to use it effectively or if you want us to manage it on your behalf?

B) not sure how it would be counterproductive - as far as i know no one can go through my contacts (it does show mutual contact, but i see that as a positive, it can help me connect better with that person)
C) each to his own, but if you are selling your services or if you are looking to acquire, then i believe you need to share some things. If people can look you up prior to a meeting that can build trust.
