Hi, many searchers implement an (new) ERP post acquisition at one point in time. One new area of ERPs is so called no code ERP systems.

Has anyone implemented such an no code ERP system specifically into your acquired SME?

Curious to hear experiences and views.

Thanks, Tobias

Ok, I know a lot about this; I've done it at least 20 times. The biggest issue (almost) each and every time is the business process, not the system. A system is a tool at the end of the day and only as good as its setup, processes, and user training. ERPs are not a magical solution, regardless of what the consultants sell you. That being said, it depends. There are no real no-code ones because nothing will fit your processes and needs 100% and inevitably will require some type of adjustment, customization, configuration, or even automation. Depending on your size, you can do well with an industry app, let's say field service, and a basic GL, like QuickBooks. Intacct, NetSuite, or Dynamics 365 are all excellent choices for the next level up. Lots of integrations and partners to work with.. The problem is not the code. A decent ERP has many moving parts and many nuances that even seasoned implementers don't always get right. Find yourself a good partner, one that will provide good an responsive support and it will do wonders.

Both Sage Intacct and Oracle NetSuite could be a fit for your need. Obviously, it depends on company size and specific workflows you may need to adapt once a new ERP is implemented. Happy to discuss further if you need support with ERP selection/implementations.
