The New Mittelstand Summit is the annual conference for search funds, entrepreneurship through acquisition, and external succession in the DACH region, organized by New Mittelstand, the leading platform and community for external succession and search funds in the German-speaking markets. Held in Berlin, the Summit brings together searchers, investors, business owners, and advisors for a full day of panels, case studies, and networking focused on succession in the German Mittelstand, one of Europe's largest SME markets. The 2026 edition drew 400+ registrations and 150 attendees. Alongside the Summit, New Mittelstand runs free monthly online Search Fund Events and publishes the Nachfolge-Barometer, a recurring survey of the DACH succession and search fund community. The next edition takes place on April 15, 2027, in Berlin.
