New Markets Tax Credit/NMTC
I'm looking at a business located within what I believe is a census tract deemed to be distressed (at least according to redacted). Does the NMTC have implications for someone considering whether or not to buy a business? In particular, I'm wondering if it should change my analysis from a financial standpoint (either now or forecast post-acquisition) or if I should change how I'm thinking about the real estate (which I'm currently not planning to buy). For what it's worth I'm self-funded and planning to finance with an SBA loan and seller financing. Thanks in advance.
