Hi SF community: I’m Stephy, born and raised in Southern California, and I’m excited to be here. I was inspired by Jenn’s post (TX), so I wanted to introduce myself as well.
I’ve spent 9 years as a founder-operator with full P&L responsibility, building and scaling a consumer business with a global supply chain across China, Indonesia, and the U.S. That business had strong ties to hospitality (white-labeling amenities/products), including partnerships with Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, Thompson Hotels, and Mandarin Oriental, which gave me early exposure to working with hospitality groups, service standards, and long-cycle commercial relationships.
I also bring 6 years of property management experience through a family RE investment company, where I managed tenant relationships, vendor coordination, maintenance, lease negotiations, relationships with local government, and overall property performance across a mixed portfolio of commercial, residential, and government assets.
More recently, I’ve been working in short-term rental vacation property management in Big Bear, where I’m building hands-on experience in hospitality operations, guest experience, and local market dynamics, while also developing relationships within owner and operator communities. Hospitality feels like a natural fit for me. I enjoy creating thoughtful guest experiences, staying close to the operational details that make properties run well, and building in an industry that has also been part of my family’s story.
I’m now focused on a hospitality search targeting hotel and lodging acquisitions (~20 keys to start) in the Arrowhead, Big Bear, Joshua Tree, and Palm Springs markets, primarily in the $750K-$1.5M EBITDA range. I’m especially interested in opportunities where strong operations, disciplined capital management, leadership, and thoughtful marketing/positioning can create durable long-term value.
I’d like to connect with anyone who is seeing opportunities in these markets, has perspective on hospitality deal flow, or is open to comparing notes on lodging acquisitions (no restaurants, please). I’m also happy to be helpful where a founder-operator lens, CRE experience, or CPG-founder perspective could add value. Looking forward to learning from and contributing to this community. Cheers.
