Roughly a year ago, my business partner and I acquired Woodbridge Equipment Parts, a B2B equipment parts distributor serving the Canadian market sinceredactedThe company manufactures and sells X-TRAC, the rubber track product line launched in 2006 for the Canadian replacement market. We sell exclusively to dealerships, rental fleets, and equipment manufacturers, through a dealer network rather than direct to consumer. We're now a year into ownership and are actively looking at more acquisitions, backed by committed private capital, and we aim to become Canada's leading rubber track business. We're hiring for an operations focused role, and are seeking someone who wants to see first hand how a pivot from sleepy distributor to leading in an industry actually plays out. This is both an office and warehouse job. We want to find someone with capacity for more than just strictly coordinating shipments, fulfilling orders, and managing inventory. The role will own our fulfillment operations across our 4 warehouses end-to-end (including direct fulfillment of orders in Mississauga): shipping, receiving, picking, packing, inventory, freight booking (domestic, US, and overseas), customs documentation, and occasional product assembly. In peak season that's roughly half of each day, and during winter months it is closer to 25%. The remainder of your time would be spent improving our inventory and ERP systems, pricing analysis, supplier negotiations, warehouse layout and process redesign, supporting new product line launches, and whatever else moves the business forward. You'll see financial and operational performance first hand, sit in on supplier and customer conversations, and get a front-row seat to what the first years after an acquisition actually look like.
