Neutral Facilitator

I'm looking at a small deal and have heard that neutral facilitators are typically used for the purchase agreement to save costs for deals of this size. Does anyone have experience with this and have opposing thoughts / things to consider? Also, is there any other diligence I should consider doing a "lite" version of to save on expenses given the deal size ($200K SDE)? Or treat this as any other deal?
