I'd love to hear the community's thoughts on naming a search fund. I found the following article:

Would love to hear views on how important this is and how much time an aspiring searcher should spend on it.

Decide as soon as humanly possible! I took too long (in weeks) even though it was only 45 minutes of actively thinking about it. Sit down at a computer today, set a timer for 1-2 hours, and commit to your name at the end.

Why? I was shocked by how much (email address, website, registering LLC, reaching out to brokers/contacts/etc) was blocked because I didn't have a name yet. The day I decided on American Elm my task list exploded and I realized I should've committed to a name much earlier even if I wasn't yet committed to really doing a searchfund yet.

Take ten mins to think of something from your past that a 70 yr old would relate to and/or like to talk about.

Hamilton Hall is the building I was looking at when I took my oath to defend my country and the Alexander Hamilton was the Sub my dad was stationed on during the Cold War. Most sellers love talking about my time in the military so it’s been a great conversation starter. And the tie in to my dad let’s me bring up why legacy is important to me early with the potential seller.
