My Quarter in Review

Today is the third day of Q2. Twenty five percent of the year is behind us. Over. Done. In the books.
The year started off slow but activity started to pick up towards the end of January/early February. I realized that I needed to expand my search parameters to get my desired results.
Although I focus on healthcare, I’m starting to look at financial services and business services related firms.
I’ve also broadened my search to include Texas. It’s without saying that there are tremendous opportunities in the Texas Triangle, i.e. Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio.
Each of which has an abundance of healthcare and medical related businesses, a growing and aging population, and dynamic economies.
My deal sourcing strategy continues to evolve and I’ve started conversations with seasoned business brokers and investment bankers, who have been very helpful with deal flow.
To date, my activity consists of:
- 36 deals reviewed
- 3 LOIs submitted
- 2 LOIs accepted
One of the accepted LOIs is a medical supply business. This space is highly fragmented and presents an opportunity to acquire owner-operated businesses at attractive multiples.
This quarter is off to a good start. Lower interest rates are anticipated and seller’s are becoming more motivated to get deals done. I’m optimistic about the foreseeable future.
