Quick Summary:

I'm sharing a free copy of my new favorite book on business acquisitions. It's my favorite because it shows the 6 most important angles of a typical transaction. I've mentioned Brent Beshore's The Middle Ground and how I love how it discusses 2 of the 6 angles (buyer and seller). But this adds 4 new angles that are critical to understand (diligence provider, transaction lawyer, business broker, capital raising advisor) (Disclaimer: Chapter 14 features me discussing due diligence. But if you want to really learn about a topic, you have to explore it from all angles and this is the best way to do that for free) [Also check out my post: Top 5 Due Diligence Books (Top 10 Searchfunder post of 2021)]

What's Cool:

I was fortunate to have my latest thinking on "due diligence in 2022" summarized in chapter 14 of a new book by Andy Cagnetta, the CEO of Transworld Business Advisors, a Top 3 Business Brokerage firm. (link to free copy below) I have a lot of content and podcasts about due diligence overall, but the market is changing everyday! This chapter is a summary of what I've learned over the past 15 years in business acquisitions (SMB deals) & represents my best and latest thinking.

The Gift:

Busy? Why invest the time?:

You don't know SQUAT until you understand a topic from many angles. This is THE only texts that speaks about business acquisitions from these 6 (six) angles: (free game for all business buyers)

1) The Buyer

2) The Seller

3) The Due Diligence Provider

4) The Transaction Lawyer

5) The Business Broker

6) The Advisor Helping Raise Capital (for the buyer)

Checking it out, Elliott. What're you focused on with your due diligence? Does your firm work with mainly business brokers or individuals looking? Any insights for each angle where that can go wrong (say, seller not optimizing prior years to be ready for sale / pricing)?

Thank you Elliott. It is a good book. However, bear in mind, guys, it is written by the business broker - usually working on the selling side, not the buying.
