Does anyone have experience acquiring a national mortgage bank? Preferably someone who has purchased one that originates about $5B annually. I'd love to have a conversation just to get some advice and insight. Thanks

Thanks for the reply, David. From my experience, most of the acquisitions take place as a stock sale for the size of mortgage company that would be considered. Financing is one of those areas I would need further information on. These deals are far out of reach for SBA. I'm anticipating them to be in the high 8 or lower 9 figures for acquisition cost. There are a few M&A firms that I've found that specialize in this space. I'd be using them for their industry knowledge. Additionally, one of the individuals possibly interested in this purchase has been through a significant amount of DD on a previous acquisition. That experience would also be leveraged. If anyone else has experience in an acquisition of a mortgage company, I would be forever grateful if we could connect.

@redacted‌ - early in my acquisition journey, I pursued a hard money lending company. My first question is how do you plan to finance? This is one of those deals that are non-SBA compliant. There are options out there, but it's not easy finding lenders who will lend to a lender. Second question: do you have a QoE provider you know/trust? That'll be important. Happy to chat or connect you with the resources I have if this is a serious prospect for you.
