Grit Capital, a Brazil-based search fund, is looking to hire a remote MBA Associate to support the fund’s deal execution activities and take an integral part in the deal cycle of the fund. Candidates must be in the first or second-to-last year of an MBA or similar graduate program, be fully fluent in English and have solid prior experience in investment banking and/or private equity with proven financial modeling and analysis capabilities. Ideal candidates are potentially interested in raising their own search fund.
1. The Firm
Grit Capital is a private investment firm focused on long-term value creation, managed by two dedicated hands-on entrepreneurs with extensive track record, Caio Zenatti and Rodolfo Guglielmi. Grit seeks to acquire and actively operate an established promising company in Brazil with a proven business model and track record.
Caio & Rodolfo combine 20+ years of experience in Private Equity, Turnaround, Management Consulting, Fintech and Entrepreneurship. They are backed by a diversified group of institutional investors, family offices, operators and entrepreneurs with extensive investment and/or operational track-record in South America, the United States and Europe.
2. Duties & Responsibilities
• Assess/evaluate individual companies, develop investment theses on targets that fit Grit’s investment mandate
• Assess/evaluate business models and key drivers, conduct financial analysis and build detailed financial models
• Draft/prepare information memorandum and marketing presentation for Grit’s investor group
• Participate in due-diligence program, including project management of advisors and Q&A processes, review/summarize/present key DD findings
• Oversee undergraduate analyst interns in their day/day activity
3. Who do we look for?
• Highly motivated individuals who have a strong and proven interest in private equity, entrepreneurship, and finance with at least 2 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, project finance and/or private equity
• Go-doer attitude towards research, problem-solvers and independent thinkers
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English & Spanish
• Individuals able to work autonomously to complete projects, with a high sense of integrity
4. Terms
• Remuneration: not remunerated
• Location: remote with optional office hours in São Paulo, Brazil
• Duration: ideally 6-8 weeks starting any time
