Role Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically driven MBA Intern to support our investment sourcing activities. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in search fund operations, deal evaluation, and business development – great for someone interested in search funds, private equity, or investment banking as you’ll be exposed to the inner workings of investing and potentially live deals and transaction execution. The intern will work directly with the Managing Partners and play a key role in sourcing potential deals, developing theses, evaluating acquisition targets, managing other interns, and contributing to due diligence. Our investment strategy is centered on acquiring a profitable, founder-owned business with a strong moat and growth potential. https://www.northwaypartners.com/ The Opportunity - Conduct market research and industry analysis for target sectors, including thesis generation - Support outreach campaigns to business owners and intermediaries - Analyze financial statements and build valuation models - Assist in due diligence on active deals, including customer, competitor, and operational diligence - Evaluate internal processes and tools and propose improvements - Work with the Managing Partners to synthesize insights and recommend next steps - Recruit and lead a group of undergraduate analyst interns - Research and source targets, and build repeatable processes for sourcing and evaluating deals Ideal Candidate Profile - Current MBA student with strong academic performance - Demonstrated interest in private equity, search funds, or entrepreneurship - Self-starter with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn - Comfortable working independently and remotely in a fast-paced, unstructured environment - Strong analytical skills - Preferred: background in PE or IB, experience sourcing deals or conducting due diligence Internship Details - Duration: 12 weeks with the opportunity to extend.
