I am curious if anyone here has recommendations for great consultancies that serve the lower middle market. I see reports like IBIS referenced at times, but just wondering if others have seen cost-effective solutions

What consulting work are you seeking? My firm deploys an operating system that's vastly more tailored than EOS or S2. Our average return on investment is over 4x thus far. You could call us management consultants, but we're more like Shingijutsu consultants in the LEAN world.

I would caution against a generalist consultant for a lower middle market / ETA deal. There's too many variables to be truly useful across all of them, and I've found that it's fairly easy to figure out most of what they'll end up delivering back to you anyway. The best consultants are generally focused in one area (e.g. ERP comparison & implementation)
